Comments on Reservation form
and general recommendations
The ECM 91 will take place at the Smolenice Castle, located
60 km North-east from Bratislava. The organizers will provide the transport
from Bratislava to Smolenice castle. The organization will be as follows:
- Meeting
point will be in Bratislava, in building of Rectors office STU
down town at Vazovova street 5. A room will be available there with
small refreshment, coffee and so. The address is:

- Majority
of participants will arrive via Vienna airport Shwechat. There is a
good direct regular bus connection from Vienna airport to Bratislava
available. The bus departure is located in front of the exit form the
Airport arrival terminal building. We recommend to use this service. Time
schedule of bus services is available either at web pages of Slovak bus
operator or at web
pages of Vienna airport.
- Bus
service from Vienna airport to Bratislava, Central Bus Station “Mlynske
nivy” takes usually about one hour. We will provide farther transport
directly from the bus terminal for most of participants arriving from
Vienna airport by bus. Please check first for the assistant at the bus
terminal when you arrive. If she is not present, please take a taxi to
Rectors office (address above).
- Those,
coming not via Vienna airport, can joint us either at the Rectors office,
or at Smolenice Castle. Please let us know the place and time where and
when do you plane to arrive.
- Time
of departure from Bratislava (Rectors office or Bus terminal) to Smolenice
Castle will depend on the arrival times of participants. We need to
optimize the traveling, so it may happen, that somebody will wait certain
time. Please, let us your planned arrival times and number of the
flight, to be able to estimate your arrival to Bratislava (also for the
case e.g. the plane is late and someone miss the bus connection). We
like to reduce the waiting time as much as possible. This drive takes
approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
- Back
trip is organized in opposite way. Bus transport from Smolenice Castle to
Bratislava will be available on Sunday after lunch. Other specific date
and time should be noticed in the form.
- All
